Sally Armstrong - (Canadians in Support of Afghan Women)

Sally Armstrong is an Amnesty International award winner, a member of the Order of Canada, documentary filmmaker, teacher, author, human rights activist and contributing editor at Maclean’s magazine.

On November 23, Sally spoke on ‘Who in the World Cares?’ She outlined the need for libraries and education for the women and girls of Afghanistan. Educated women can change the world! A Fair Trade Craft Sale was held with all proceeds going to support grassroot workers in a variety of countries, such as Afghanistan, Kenya and Palestine.
